New Year, New Beginnings

Last year was full of changes. For starters, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child. Then, we experienced a move from Dallas to Omaha, bought our first house, and by the end of September we two became we three. It really is a blur . . . so much, in fact, that I must be conviced that it is actually still 2009 (I have misdated journal entries and checks to prove it), but alas it is not. So I find myself in a new year which means new opportunities. A fresh start. A new beginning to another chapter in this thing we call life.

In between returning to work, being a mom to a nearly 4-month old baby, a wife, and managing a household, I thought I would use my spare time to start a blog. I figured it was time to join the masses and share my experiences of doing something I really enjoy and that is entertaining guests. From planning the menu to setting the table, I love to have people over to our home so we can all enjoy the simple pleasures of good food and good conversation.

It is my hope that others out there, who are equally fond of entertaining, will gain from the sharing of my experiences and that I may also learn from them. I love to exchange thoughts and what not in regards to pulling off a fab dinner party or the like. So please know the suggestion box is always open.
